Unless the writer is referring to the fruit, he needs to write Blackberrys (name of electronic device). Similarly, we write the two Germanys; I know three Jerrys; He had two Bloody Marys.It seems spelling is not this writer’s strong point (he is, incidentally, a British native speaker of English). Here’s another blunder from a year ago (Weekend Today, 18–19 August 2007):
Make it formerly, not formally.
