Essay On The Minar-E-Pakistan.There are many minarets in the world. They are built to preserve' the memory of some great persons. But the Minar-e-Pa-kistan is the only minaret which is built to preserve the memory of a resolution.

It stands in the Iqbal Park just opposite the Badshahi Mosque. It is built at the place where the Pakistan Resolution was passed on the 23rd March, 1940. It was red letter day4 for the Muslims of India. On that day, the Muslims of India had decided to have their own independent5 homeland.

The Minar-E-Pakistan is 59 meters high. It has stairs to go to the top. It has a lift as well. It is very beautiful to look at. It is built in the shape of a rose flower with ten petals.

It is a unique model of skilfulness. Its top is made of stainless steel. Verses from the Holy Quran are written on its walls. On the lower part is written the text of the Pakistan Resolution in Urdu, Bengali and English.

Many people from other countries come to see the Minar. It will always remind us of the important day of 23rd March, 1940.
