The postman is an important public servant'. He brings us letters, parcels and others. He is called the messenger of good news.
But sometimes he brings us sad news also, still we wait for him very eagerly. He has to work very hard.
Rain or sunshine, he must do his duty. But it is a pity that his salary is still low. Hecan hardly support his family with it.
The postman wears a khaki uniform. Even his turban is khaki. He has a leather-pelt round his waist8. This
belt has a brass-plate on which his number is en-graved.
A leather-bag is hanging done by one of his shoulders. He keeps all the letters, parcels and money in this
bag. He arranges them in order of the houses in his beat I.
Then he comes to the city and delivers those letters from house to house and shop to shop.
