Short Essay On A Coolie.A coolie is usuallay a poor man. He is seen at ever big or small station. He is licensed by the railway authorities' and has a number for identification.

He earns his living by the sweat of his brow. His wages is 20 Rs. per trip3. But he is not satisfied with it and grumbles at every payment.

Whenever a tonga or a taxi stop near the waiting room, they flock around it to carry the load. Sometimes they quarrel and exchange hot words.

Then they carry the luggage to the platform and place it in the compartment in which the passenger wishes to sit.

When a train stop at the platform, the coolies rush to the compartment and help the passengers to detrain.

They carry their luggage outside the station, and place it in a tonga or a taxi. Thus the coolie is a very helpful member of society.
