Television was invented by Baird. The first T.V. Station was built at Lahore in 1964. Now there are T.V. Stations at Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi and Quetta.
Many kinds of pro¬grammes are shown on television. Some of them are for entertainment' such as music and dance shows, plays and films etc. some programmes are informative such as Science Magazine. Now educational programmes are also shown.
Children have their cartoon filins and stories. Matches are also shown on television. Television has become very popular these days. It has a great influence on men, women and children. It should be used more for education than entertainment.
At present it is used much for pleasure instead of education. Soon this trend will change and it will be used properly.
